Nairobi, the capital City of Kenya is strategically located as a travel getaway into/out of East Africa to the world. In this tournament, AFCON 2027. Make it memorable by visiting, passing by or flying through Nairobi. 


Three groups will play their preliminary matches in this Nairobi. These matches will be hosted in three different venues. The newly built Raila Odinga Talanta International Stadium, The Moi International Sports Center and The Nyayo National Stadium.


Your landing will either be at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Embakasi or the Wilson Airport (WIL) in Langata. From here you can Rent-a-car, Hire a Taxi, use Uber, Bolt, Shuttle on bus or use public transport to your next destination.

Travelling into nairobi

Kenya Airways KQ 'The Pride of Africa', is the dominant airline within East Africa. The airline offers direct connection to most of Africa's Cities and the rest of the world. 


Regionally, Ethiopian Airline, RwandAir, Air Tanzania and South African Airline are  major International Carriers that operate direct flights into Nairobi. JamboJet, Skyward Express, Safarilink also operate budget routes locally within the region.

Nairobi has a wide range of fun parks, entertainment venues and tourism sites that every visiting AFCON fan will enjoy depending on their interests. The Nairobi National Park, The Nairobi National Museum, The Giraffe Center, Paradise Lost and Chania Falls are the stand out wildlife/nature tour destinations to visit while in the city.


The Carnival restaurant stands out as the perfect entertainment spot in the city but for Night Owls revelers you are spoilt of choice. The City has quite a number of Clubs, Bars and Restaurants you can pass the night away so long as you are careful and cognizant of your location.

Weather

June and July are generally cool and dry months with sunny days. Afternoon temperature can get to highs of around 73°F (23°C) to 75°F (24°C)  but it can get chilly during the night  dropping to about 50°F (10°C) to 55°F (13°C) .

Nairobi is generally safe. Like any other African Cities; Theft, pickpocketing, burglary, and muggings are the most frequent crimes. When visiting be careful of your surrounding and make people know your ware bouts.
